Diemo privacy policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Diemo is a habit, routine and goal tracking app published by Lumespec. This page explains what the app stores, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal data.

What we collect

Account. Your email address, display name and a sign-in identifier from Google, Apple or an email link, handled by Firebase Authentication.

Your content.Habits, goals, routines, progress entries and optional notes, pauses and skipped days, reminder times, the short reason ("why") and cue you can add to a habit, your timezone and your chosen app language.

Daily reflection (optional). If you record how a day felt, Diemo saves a mood from one to five and, if you write one, a short note, together with the date. See "Mood and reflections" below.

Device information for notifications.A push-notification token and the device platform, only after you allow notifications, so reminders reach the right device in the right language. The text of a reminder can contain the name of the habit and, if you wrote one, its reason; it is delivered through Apple's and Google's push services.

Purchases. If you buy Diemo Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google. Our server receives a purchase identifier from the store to confirm your Pro access and its expiry. We do not receive your payment details.

Anonymous usage statistics

Diemo counts a small set of in-app events (for example "app opened", "habit created", "paywall viewed") so we can fix confusing steps and improve the app. These counts contain no account, email, device identifier, IP address, habit or goal names, notes or health data. Each app launch uses a random session identifier that is not stored. Events are deleted after 180 days. You can turn this off at any time under Profile → Privacy → Analytics.

Health and activity data

Connecting Apple Health or Health Connect is optional. Diemo asks for read-only access to your step count and nothing else from Health. If you connect it, Diemo reads today's step total while the Health & activity screen is open. That value stays on your device. It is never sent to Diemo servers, advertising partners, analytics, accountability partners, widgets or watches.

Mark done automatically (Diemo Pro). For a habit that counts steps, you can turn on "Mark done automatically" in the habit's settings. Diemo then also checks today's step total on your device when the app opens or returns to the foreground. The total is still not uploaded. Only when you reach the habit's goal does Diemo save a completed entry in your account, for the goal amount of that habit (for example 8,000 steps) and labelled "Added automatically". Below the goal nothing is saved, and your actual step count is never recorded.

That completed entry is stored like any other habit entry: it syncs between your devices, is included in your data export and is removed when you delete your account. You can delete it from the habit's history. If you share that habit with an accountability partner, they see it as completed, like any other completion, but never your step count. We do not use health data for advertising or sell it.

You can turn the option off for a habit at any time, disconnect in the app (which turns off every automatic link), and revoke access in Apple Health or Health Connect settings.

Mood and reflections

A daily reflection (a mood from one to five and an optional note) is stored in your account and only you can see it. It is never shown to an accountability partner, never included in the anonymous usage statistics and never passed to advertising partners. Diemo uses it to show your own reflections and, in Diemo Pro, to compare your average mood on days with high and low habit completion, which is calculated from your own entries.

Reflections sync between your devices, are included in your data export and are deleted when you delete your account. You can also delete any day yourself without deleting the account: today's reflection from the card on Today (open it with the edit icon) and an earlier day from Past reflections (the history icon on the same card). Diemo is a personal reflection tool, not a medical or psychological service, and does not diagnose anything.

How we use data

To run the app: show your habits and goals, calculate scores and streaks, send the reminders you enable, sync between your devices, and keep your account secure. Support emails you send us are used only to help you.

Advertising

Diemo may show ads supplied by Google AdMob. Ads are only requested after the consent flow for your region allows it. Habit names, notes, goals and health data are never passed to ad partners. You can review or change eligible choices under Profile → Privacy → Advertising privacy choices.

Sharing

We share data with service providers that run Diemo for us (hosting, Firebase, push delivery, the App Store and Google Play for purchase verification, and AdMob when ads are enabled), and only as needed to provide those services. If you use the Accountability partner feature, each of you chooses which of your own habits the other sees, never your notes, goals, reflections, email or other habits. Either of you can send the other a short preset encouragement notification (no free text, at most one a day). You can end or block a connection at any time, which stops both.

Your choices and rights

Export. Profile → Account settings → Export my data gives you a ZIP with JSON and CSV files, including your habits, entries and reflections.

Delete. Profile → Account settings → Delete account removes your account and personal data from our systems. Deleting requires a recent sign-in.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to access, correct or object to processing of your data. Write to support@lumespec.com and we will respond.

Retention and security

We keep your data while your account exists and delete it when you delete the account. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access to servers is restricted.

Children

Diemo is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes we will update the date above, and for material changes tell you in the app. Questions: support@lumespec.com.
